Gideon Rachman is the Chief Foreign Affairs Commentator for the Financial Times; he was one of our main speakers at last year's Annual Reunion in London and his lecture at the ODI can be viewed by signed-in members in our Video Archives.
His free weekly podcast is always worth a listen and this past week his conversation with Lord Mark Malloch-Brown on "Why we need the UN" is especially worth listening to in these troubled times. Malloch-Brown was UNDP Administrator and UN Deputy Secretary-General under Kofi Annan; he is currently President of the Open Society Foundation.
