On 28 May 2026 the UK United Nations Association hosted a hustings event for four of the declared candidates for the post of UN Secretary-General, to take office on 1 January 2027: Michelle Bachelet, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, Rafael Grossi and Rebeca Grynspan.
