The BAFUNCS Career Paths Programme organised a panel event with the Committee of the London International Model United Nations (LIMUN). LIMUN organizes an annual conference of up to 1,000 delegates from UN associations and societies at a wide range of universities in U.K. and from other countries. This year the conference was held on on 23rd-25th February at the usual venues of Central Hall Westminster and Kings College London. About sixty students attended the careers panel session, which was held in the morning of the first day, in a conference room off the main venue at Central Hall, Westminster. The BAFUNCS panel comprised Jocelyn Mason (LON), Sarah Papineau (LON), and Stephen Rudgard (OXF). Nicholas Rosellini (LON) also attended the session as a participant. The panel was moderated by a former member of the LIMUN Committee who now works for the Foreign and Commonwealth Development Office. The panellists answered questions about their careers and experience in the UN, and the moderator when facilitated the question and answer session which focused on the advantages, disadvantages, and competencies related to working in the UN. Several student participants approached the speakers after the session finished to discuss careers in the UN.
