The BAFUNCS Benevolent Fund (BBF) is here to help!
The Benevolent Fund is administratively entirely separate from BAFUNCS, but it is under the control of Trustees drawn from and appointed by the Association. The BAFUNCS Benevolent Fund is registered with the United Kingdom Charity Commissioners (Registered Number 297524). The Fund seeks to provide relief to members of the Association and their dependants in cases of need, hardship or distress. Similar support is available to former employees of the United Nations system.
Information about the Fund can be found in the following documents:
- A Guide to the Benevolent Fund (Information note 10)
- The Benevolent Fund flyer
- Use of BBF regional subventions
Applications for a grant or loan should be made by printing and completing a paper form or by completing an online form. The paper form and guidance for its completion can be obtained from the links below. This is the link to the online form.
To obtain further information about the Fund, or to enquire about assistance from the Fund, please write/speak to the Chair, Secretary (benevolent.fund@bafuncs.org), Treasurer or one of the other BBF Trustees (individual contact details are in the online membership list and in the annual printed membership list). Your Regional Representative and Regional Member Support Contact can also provide an application form and guidance for applying for a grant or loan.
