The Northern Region is BAFUNCS' second largest region in terms of membership, having about 110 members, but by far the largest in the UK in terms of geographic size: it covers Northern England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man. Because of this dispersal, its tradition is to have one annual gathering, normally in the autumn.
